Description

The Spice Route Saffron Rosé 2023 celebrates freshness, elegance, and easy enjoyment. Inspired by Provence, this limited release reflects the brightness of the Cape’s Coastal vineyards. It is light in style yet full of character, making it the perfect companion for warm days.

Vineyard
Dryland vineyards along the Cape West Coast supply the fruit. Here, decomposed granite soils and cool breezes create grapes with natural acidity and expressive flavour. These conditions give the rosé its balance of delicacy and vibrancy.

Winemaking
The team hand-harvested the grapes, destalked the bunches, and pressed them gently to achieve the ideal colour. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, keeping the flavours pure. In addition, the wine rested on its lees for several weeks, adding depth and a smooth texture. As a result, the final style is bright, clean, and fruit-forward.

Tasting Notes
The Spice Route Saffron Rosé 2023 shows fragrant notes of red berries and soft florals. Fresh strawberry flavours lead on the palate, while subtle citrus brings lift. A silky texture and refreshing finish tie everything together. Light, crisp, and lively, it was crafted for sharing and enjoying.

Cellar Potential
Drink this rosé now for its vibrant fruit. However, it will remain fresh and charming for up to 2–3 years.

Harvest Date
February 2023.
